To all Permanent Missions to the United Nations Office at Geneva:

The secretariat of the Human Rights Council presents its compliments to the Permanent Missions to the United Nations Office at Geneva and has the honour to attach hereto a note verbale concerning the 37^th session of the Council (26 February-23 March 2018), including the accreditation procedure for the session. Information is also provided on the organizational meeting, which will be held on Monday 12 February at 10 a.m. in Room XX at the Palais des Nations.

The secretariat is also transmitting, on behalf of the President and the Bureau, their proposal at strengthening the Council and reducing the number of regular session Council meetings per year as well as a hypothetical draft programme of work for each of the three regular Council sessions in 2018 and would like to inform all Permanent Missions that an informal consultation to exchange views on the proposal will be held on Monday 12 February at 3 p.m in Room XXVI at the Palais des Nations.

The Secretariat of the Human Rights Council avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Permanent Missions the assurances of its highest consideration.
